It's 'Here Comes The Judge'
For Avid Certified

Assistant Editor SHAWN J. ARTEAGA!

Some months back, Esq. Management Talent Agent, Patricia E. Lee, Esq., referred Esq. Management client, Avid Certified Assistant Editor
Shawn J. Arteaga
, to Post-Production Supervisor Susan Huffacker who was,
at that time, Post Supervisor for the "Dr. Phil" Reality TV Touchy Feely Talk Show over on the Paramount Studio Lot. Susan hired Shawn as a part-time 'temp' "Dr. Phil" Assistant Editor -- Shawn's very first Union gig.

And, a number of months later, Susan told Shawn that the long-running
"Judge Judy"
and "Judge Joe Brown" Reality TV Legal Shows were looking for a full-time permanent Assistant Editor.  And so.......Shawn applied for the position.  And, as we say in Show Business, 'the rest is history' -- Shawn gave a stellar performance at his "Judge Judy" / "Judge Joe Brown" interview; and accordingly, he got the job, working nearly around-the-clock on both shows
for about six weeks, after which time, the post-production on the two legal
shows was split, with Shawn continuing on as Assistant Editor for the
"Judge Joe Brown"
show on an exclusive basis.

"Judge Joe Brown" is a Paramount Television and Big Ticket Television
Co-Production for Syndicated Television.  If you live in L.A. and you'd like to watch innovative, shoot from the hip Judge Joe (who experienced the school of hard knocks down in South Central Los Angeles, lived to tell about it and then, graduated from UCLA Law School), tune into KCAL (Channel 9) Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and / or 10:30 a.m.  And, if you visit the Judge Joe Website at www.judgejoebrown.com you can find out what cases the Judge

UniqueFilms.com - UniqueFilms.com is a fun, kooky, off-beat website put together by
Esq. Management's very own Chris Conlee. The site is devoted to independent filmmaking in general, as well as to Chris' very own independent filmmaking escapades (we said escapades, NOT, sexcapades). At any rate, as of press time, due to Chris' very busy editing work schedule, the site is a bit out of date (er, like, two years out of date), but, it's a lot of fun, nevertheless.

www.brianjcavanaugh.com - Esq. Management Editor-Client Brian J. Cavanaugh's slick website features, among other things, Brian's complete Credit List and Tool Kit Inventory; as well as, photos and descriptions of editing hardware and software which Brian is currently offering for sale.

if you're interested in being an 'angel' (i.e. a patron of the arts, film investor, etc.), be sure and send Paul an e-mail via the 'Contact' portion of his website since the Johnny X movie is currently in need of 'completion funds' (remember to tell Paul you linked to his website via the Esq. www.cinecon.org - The Society for Cinephiles began as a small group of die-hard Classic Film Fans who met one or two days each year at a Holiday Inn in Indiana, Pennsylvania; and, ran 8mm versions of Silent Film Classics for each other.  Today, more than 40 years later, the Society sponsors a once-a-year film orgy-a-thon (5 days and 5 nights) spent in the dark viewing 'Classics' and 'Rarities' from the early 1900s up through the late 1940s; and, occasionally, on into the mid-1950s. During this once a year Labor Day Week extravaganza which takes place in Hollywood, California, the films unspool at the Historic Egyption Theatre; amazing Movie Memorabilia is offered for sale in 'Dealers Rooms' at the lovely Hollywood Renaissance Hotel; and, pioneers from Hollywood's early days are honored at the Society's annual Banquet.  Esq. Management Editor-Client Bob Birchard is President of The Society for Cinephiles.
